I have seen the work of illustrators such as Hattie Newman, who demonstrates that 3D objects can be illustration, and how photographing them well to document is key. I have enjoyed this opportunity to make 3D objects which is the area I find I work most comfortable in. I have learned lots of making skills and techniques and professionalism that I will be putting forward for my final major project.

Photographs of the gargoyles in action
I attended the tech and dress rehearsals with a camera to take photographs of the finished stage and positioning of the gargoyles. I got a lot fo positive comments from the cast and costume lecturers, which was nice to hear. Both sculptures flanked the stage, which is based on an unfinished building to a cathedral in 12th century France. I am very pleased with the final products of this unit, as it has made me more confident in my building skills, and made me realise how can have a career making 3D objects, or doing 3D illustration.
