Final images of Gargoyles
These are the final designs of the sculpture I have created for In Extremis. I am please at how effective the paint effects are at recreating a convincing stone effect. I started with a dark base coat of grey, and when it dried, used a paint roller in a lighter beige as advised by the visiting set painter to dry brush on details. As the paint dried it blended with the grey and created a more muted effect. I then went in with some black paint into the crevices on the sculptures to bring out the details even more and enhance the sense of depth.
