Despite having to fend off an illness this week, I have been trying to make a start on the new gargoyle. After showing Rhiannon my sketches, she decided she liked a six legged design I had come up with. I had been looking at photos of gargoyles, and had not seen many with more than four legs, so I thought it might be interesting. Rhiannon wanted this gargoyle design to be based of a dragon or a crocodile, so I begun to think about designs that would be true to the context, yet be a little more interesting and original than traditional gargoyles.
After completing the first one, I learned what methods are suitable and building techniques for something so large.
