Was a home for the weekend and went to Farnham Saturday. I saw this Lion sculpture which interested me, especially the curls carved into the wood to represent the lions mane. It made me consider the use of patterns and shapes as something decorative in my current work, as opposed to trying to represent the texture in a realistic sense.
